Princess Day

Register The Conference Hotel Conference Schedules SCC Marketplace

The objective of Princess Day is to allow our girls to do the things they have always wanted to do in preparation for the week ahead. While the intention and attention is for the first-time outers (FTO), the experienced are welcome as well.

Princess Day is a “work-in-progress” so it has been ADDED TO REGISTRATION. There is an additional charge of $15 for breakfast and transportation.

You may also join us and register for Princess Day on-site (space permitting) for a $20 registration fee. The activities for the day are a la carte so you should budget $ 35-50 for nails, $15-20 for lunch, and your own budget for makeup and shopping.

Schedule
Gather in Suite 1221 – 9.00am
Manicure/Pedicure at Classic Nails
Sephora Beauty Products
1pm Lunch  (Olive Garden – TBC)

Classic Nails is an excellent salon about a mile from the hotel so that you can start your journey off-site for nails. Sephora has been very gracious to us and will be offering makeup-tips and help in selecting products for our unique needs and budget. Both of these are designed to help you get the courage to be in the mainstream – this is a BIG step for some of us and time well-spent toward meeting this objective.

While in the Mall, you can get accustomed to high-heels by strolling through the other retailers who have been generally welcoming to us in the past – just dress and act like a lady! The group re-combines for lunch (usually at Olive Garden) which for most of us has been the first time that we dined in-public so the combination of these functions can be quite an accomplishment for a “Princess”.

Imagine that if you created an “en-femme bucket list” some of those items would be nails, eat lunch in-public (at a REAL restaurant), makeup help, walking through the mall with the confidence to shop and accessorize. Previous First Timer programs have included these objectives and helped the participants to gain confidence in numbers to do things they had only dreamed of doing. The alternate purpose is to help the SCC First-Timers to meet others, become comfortable, and make new friends.

The day starts with a light breakfast in suite 1221 starting at 9.00am so you can come at your leisure. As a First Timer – you only need to get from your room to the elevator, go to the 12th floor, and join the crowd. If you need help, we can send someone for you to help calm your nerves and get your journey started. The breakfast serves to get acquainted with, and meet some new friends. At this time – you can sign-up for a nail appointment with your friends or become part of a nail group and the first shuttle will leave about 9:45 and then about every hour as needed until noon. Others will head to Sephora or hang-around the suite getting comfortable until the next shuttle is ready. These options will be designed for the First Timer to help with the basic prep before venturing out for lunch

We will meet as a group for lunch around 1 PM at a local restaurant – typically the Olive Garden – so we can chat about our morning adventures, show-off our new face and nails, and meet and mingle with new friends.

Lunch ends around 2:30 and the shuttle can take you to afternoon appointments, the Mall on your own, or the hotel for some “beauty rest” before heading to Agatha’s that evening. We will have a list of the retailers that welcome us so you should feel comfortable asking for help if needed.

Various shopping opportunities will be available around those times while waiting for your appointments.

Note: You should plan to travel to Atlanta on Tuesday September 18,  so that you arrive in time for Princess Day

Optional Event – Additional Cost: $15 / $20 on-site
